| Opis awersu | Facing crowned bust of Ottokar II depicted in crude but bold relief, the ruler's face rendered frontally with stylized features typical of 13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage. The crown is prominently displayed above the head. The king holds a cross-tipped sceptre in each hand, one to either side of the bust. The design is set within a roughly squared field with scalloped edges characteristic of hammered Styrian pfennigs of this period. No surrounding legend is present, the ruler's identity being conveyed solely through the portrait and associated numismatic attribution. |
