Obverse description Facing bust of the duke depicted above a turreted wall rendered in stylized architectural form. The letters H and O flank the head to the left and right respectively, serving as an abbreviated ducal title referencing Otto. The portrait is executed in the broad, flat relief typical of late 13th-century Bavarian bracteate-influenced coinage. The overall design is contained within an irregular flan characteristic of hand-struck medieval issues.
