Obverse description An upright panther displayed in the central field, rendered in high relief in the bold Carinthian bracteate style, with a crenellated turret depicted immediately behind the figure. The entire central design is enclosed within an outer border of twisted torse and a beaded inner circle, characteristic of late 13th-century Austrian regional coinage. The panther, the heraldic emblem of Carinthia, is shown facing forward with stylized body markings. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, as typical of hammered Pfennigs of this period.
