| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central motif consists of a bold patriarchal or plain cross with splayed arms, occupying the majority of the reverse field and characteristic of Friesach pfennig coinage. The cross is set within a stylized architectural or decorative surround, possibly representing city walls or a tower, alluding to the mint town of Friesach. A partial Latin mint legend encircles the design, reading +FRISAC[H], identifying the issuing mint. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, typical of hand-hammered medieval silver coinage. The surface retains original silver luster in protected areas with natural patina overall. |
