Beschrijving voorzijde	Two angels facing one another flank a frontal bust held between them; beneath the angels, a stool-like architectural frame encloses two inscribed rings. The entire composition is bordered by a mirage or decorative element set between two concentric pearl circles, characteristic of Romanesque die-work of the early twelfth century.

Beschrijving keerzijde	A secular enthroned figure, identified as the margrave, is depicted facing forward wearing a conical headdress; he holds a sword upright in his right hand and a banner or flag in his left, rendered in the Romanesque style typical of Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage. A pseudo-inscription or deceptive legend surrounds the central design, contained within two concentric circles of pearls.
