| Obverse description | Facing bust of a bishop wearing a mitre, rendered in schematic medieval style within a beaded inner circle. The letters B and A appear to either side of the effigy in the field, flanking the head. A ring or annulet is positioned above the mitre at the top of the field. The overall design is characteristic of 14th-century episcopal bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage from the Upper Rhine region. |
