| Obverse description | Facing mitred bust of the bishop in high relief, depicted frontally with a mitre bearing three pellets along its central ridge. The letters B and A appear in the fields to either side of the bust, serving as an abbreviated reference to Basel. The style is consistent with early 14th-century Swiss ecclesiastical coinage, with simplified facial features characteristic of hammered bracteate-influenced pfennig types. |
