Obverse description Central twelve-petalled rosette with pointed, lance-shaped petals radiating symmetrically from a small central pellet, all executed in bold relief characteristic of mid-13th century Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage. The design is contained within a plain inner circle, itself enclosed by an outer beaded border. The field between the rosette and the inner circle is recessed and smooth. No legend or inscription is present.

Reverse description A heraldic lion passant-rampant facing left, depicted in a stylised Romanesque manner with a crowned head, the tail curling over the back. Small crosses are disposed in the spaces between the inner and outer concentric circles that frame the central device. The overall composition is unlettered, with no legend, consistent with anonymous Austrian Pfennig coinage of the interregnum period 1246–1247.
