Obverse description Frontal crowned head flanked by an eagle's head facing left with wings spread, all depicted in low relief in the typical bracteate-influenced style of Austrian medieval coinage. The design is contained within a beaded and pearl inner circle, with the broad irregular flan characteristic of hammered Pfennige of this period.

Reverse description A crowned lion passant to the left rendered in bold relief, occupying the central field of the coin. The border consists of two concentric lines between which small crosses are distributed at intervals, forming a decorative annular frame. The design reflects the heraldic tradition of the Babenberg duchy and is characteristic of the bracteate-influenced Vienna-area Pfennige of the mid-thirteenth century.
