Obverse description Facing royal bust of Henry V rendered in crude Romanesque style, the figure holding a long scepter terminating in a fleur or finial in the right hand and a cross-staff in the left. The effigy is contained within a beaded inner circle, beyond which runs a deceptive or blundered inscription border that mimics a legend without forming legible text.
