Reverse description Architectural motif depicting a Romanesque arch or gateway, likely a stylized representation of the castle or fortification of Gutenwerth (Otok), the mint site on the Gurk River in Carinthia. Two flanking towers or columns support the central arch, beneath which a small decorative element is visible. The composition is rendered in a bold, simplified relief consistent with hammered pfennig production of the early 13th century. The mint name legend GVTEWERDE appears around the field in Latin script, identifying the place of issue.
