| Obverse description | Facing bust of the patriarch in high relief, depicted wearing a mitre and liturgical vestments with elaborately stylized drapery folds rendered in the Romanesque manner. The figure is shown from the shoulders upward, centrally placed within the coin field. Flanking the bust are partial letters and decorative elements, with a fragmentary Latin legend surrounding the design along the periphery. The hammered flan is notably irregular in outline, with typical die-struck weakness at the margins. |
