Obverse description Enthroned duke depicted in frontal view, holding a fleur-de-lis scepter in his left hand with his right hand resting upon his hip. The figure is rendered in the flat, stylized Romanesque manner typical of Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennigs of the early thirteenth century. A partially legible Latin legend encircles the central design, contained between two incuse lines forming an inner and outer border. The surviving inscription reads approximately [---]XV - HS[---], the remainder being lost to die wear or flan irregularity.
