| Description du revers | A crenellated fortified wall or tower motif occupies the central field, rendered in a schematic, low-relief style typical of medieval hammered pfennigs of the Carinthian region. The structure features a prominent arched gateway at its base, with battlements above and flanking turrets suggested by vertical projections. The design is enclosed within a beaded border, itself surrounded by a rope-like or plain outer rim. Details are weakly struck and partially obscured by the irregular planchet, consistent with the variable die alignment of this issue. The architectural imagery is characteristic of the ecclesiastical and civic coinage produced in the Austrian hereditary lands around 1200. |
