Obverse description Within a plain inner circle, a prominent six-pointed star (hexagram) in high relief occupies the central field, its elongated points rendered with bold, flat facets characteristic of early 14th-century Basel bracteate-style coinage. Six pellets are disposed symmetrically between the points of the star, one pellet positioned at each interstitial space around the perimeter of the inner circle. The flan is irregular and slightly scalloped at the edges, consistent with hand-cut hammered silver fabric. No legend or inscription is present; the design is entirely emblematic. The overall composition is stark and heraldic, reflecting the anonymous ecclesiastical coinage of the Bishopric of Basel.
