Obverse description Single-sided hammered silver pfennig displaying a stylized eagle displayed in the field, rendered in a crude medieval Germanic style typical of Moravian municipal coinage. The eagle's spread wings fill the flan, with the right wing surmounted by a Gothic uncial letter 'N', the civic initial of Brno (Brünn). The lower portion of the eagle features splayed talons and decorative feather detailing. The irregular flan and flat relief are characteristic of hand-struck municipal issues of the early fifteenth century.
