Additional information

Albert I ruled Styria following the Habsburg acquisition of the duchy in 1276, and these bracteate-style pfennigs were struck at Graz during a period when he was consolidating control over the Austrian and Styrian lands simultaneously. The CNA D53 type is among the more precisely attributed issues of his Styrian coinage, a distinction that matters given how frequently pfennigs of this region and period are misattributed between mints.
