Obverse description A stag passant to the left, depicted in high relief within a plain inner circle, with a trefoil or cloverleaf motif held in the animal's mouth. The stag is rendered in the vigorous, stylised manner characteristic of late 13th-century Styrian bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage, with clearly articulated legs in a walking stride and antlers prominently displayed above. The field is unlettered, with no surrounding legend. The flan is irregular and slightly squared at the edges, as is typical of hammered medieval Austrian pfennige of this period.
