| Beschrijving voorzijde | Within a plain inner circle, a stylized architectural or ecclesiastical motif rendered in a flat, archaic manner characteristic of early medieval Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage. A broad horizontal bar bisects the central field, above which a crescent with a pellet is visible, and below which a serpentine or foliate element terminates in a pellet. Two vertical pillar-like forms flank the central design, evoking a gateway or altar structure. The flan is irregular and slightly scalloped at the edges, consistent with hand-struck hammered silver coinage of the early 13th century. |
