Obverse description Eagle with closed wings standing left, depicted in profile, perched upon an Ionic column capital rendered in low relief. The bird's plumage is boldly styled in the archaic Sicilian tradition, with the head inclined slightly downward. A partial Greek inscription appears in the upper field.
