Beschrijving voorzijde Facing crowned bust of King William II, rendered in the angular, stylised manner characteristic of late 11th-century Anglo-Norman hammered coinage. The monarch is depicted wearing a tall crown with prominent cross-and-pellet ornamentation, with a beaded or jewelled band visible at the brow. The effigy displays a frontal face with beard, flanked by the king's mantle or drapery, with a sceptre held to the left. A beaded inner circle frames the bust, with the legend disposed around the periphery within the coin's irregular flan. The overall style reflects the work of a provincial moneyer working within the established royal die type.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central short cross potent with a pellet in each of the four quarters formed by the cross arms, the entire motif enclosed within a quatrefoil of curved lobes. The quatrefoil design creates four distinct compartments framing the cross, with each lobe separated by a cusp, giving the reverse a strongly architectural and heraldic character typical of the Cross in Quatrefoil type. The moneyer's legend and mint name are arranged in two lines or around the central device within the inner circle, separated by the quatrefoil border. A beaded or linear outer circle contains the peripheral legend. The die-cutting reflects the standard royal reverse design mandated for this coinage period.
