| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field is occupied by a two-line inscription arranged horizontally across the flan, reading the moneyer's name in degenerate capitals. A central pellet punctuates the legend, and additional pellets or ornaments appear above and below. The lettering, while derived from Anglo-Saxon penny conventions, exhibits the crude, semi-barbarous execution characteristic of Viking Danelaw imitative issues, with individual characters showing distortion and ligature. The whole is enclosed within a beaded outer border. |
