| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays the Two Line type layout, with the moneyer's name divided across the field in two horizontal lines separated by small cross pattee motifs. The upper line reads ERICI and the lower line reads LNOT, together rendering the moneyer's name Ericil (or Ericilnot). Additional small crosses are positioned to the left and right of the central field, flanking the inscription. The whole is enclosed within a beaded outer border, consistent with the Anglo-Saxon hammered penny tradition of the reign of Eadmund (939–946). |
