| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a three-line inscription across the field, reading FROÐ OC+EO RICH, giving the moneyer's name Frithuric and the mint of Chester, arranged in three horizontal registers divided by decorative elements. Small rosette or pellet ornaments appear above and below the central text, flanked by geometric symbols including circular and cross motifs at the sides of the middle line, all consistent with the Rosette type. The border is formed by a raised outer ring with a beaded or cable inner edge, characteristic of the Anglo-Saxon Rosette penny type struck under King Eadgar. The entire reverse composition is epigraphic, with no figurative imagery, in keeping with the reformed coinage of the period. |
