Additional information

Rudolph of Zähringen held the see of Liège from 1167 to 1191, appointed through the direct intervention of Emperor Frederick Barbarossa as part of his ongoing effort to install reliable imperial allies across the Rhineland and Low Countries episcopates. The Huy mint, one of the oldest monetary workshops in the Prince-Bishopric, struck deniers under his authority throughout that tenure.

Dengis 382 is among the scarcer documented types from this reign.
