Obverse description Facing left bust of a bishop in liturgical vestments, wearing a mitre; a crozier is depicted to the left of the bust, partially dividing the surrounding legend. The effigy is rendered in the crude, stylized manner characteristic of Mosan ecclesiastical coinage of the mid-12th century. The legend reads HE IN RI CVS, identifying the issuing bishop Henry (Henricus) of Leez.
