| Beschrijving voorzijde | Frontal bust of Bishop Albert of Rethel with tonsured head turned slightly to the left, depicted in episcopal vestments and holding a fleur-de-lis scepter to the left. The effigy is rendered in the characteristic rough, stylized manner of 12th-century Mosan hammered coinage. A circular legend surrounds the central design in the field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Albert of Rethel held the see of Liège for barely three years before his death in 1194, a tenure too short to produce coinage in any volume. His issues are among the scarcest of the entire Liège episcopal sequence, and Dengis 388 in particular turns up infrequently even in specialized Belgian medieval collections.
