| Beschrijving keerzijde | A long cross fourchée (forked cross) divides the reverse field into four quarters, with a pellet positioned in each of the four outer angles formed between the arms of the cross and the beaded border. Each quarter contains a letter from the moneyer's name, reading + L V L (Lul), arranged around the cross. The design is executed in a bold, simplified style consistent with Group III and IV Mercian pennies struck at the East Anglian mint, with a beaded outer border encircling the entire composition. |
