| 背面描述 | A small cross pattée is depicted centrally within a beaded inner circle, with a pellet placed in each of the four angles formed by the cross arms. The surrounding legend, distributed around the inner circle, identifies the mint city of York in a contracted form. The lettering is irregularly spaced and crudely engraved, consistent with the provincial hammered coinage of the Viking Kingdom of Northumbria. The overall design is contained within a beaded outer border following the irregular flan edge. The reverse type follows the Two-Line type convention common to Northumbrian Viking issues of this period. |
