| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold cross potent occupies the central field, with a pellet-in-annulet at the intersection of the arms. A six-pointed mullet or star motif is placed in each of the four quarters formed by the cross arms. The design is characteristic of Stephen's Civil War coinage, known as the Southern type, and is struck on an irregular flan with typical hammered workmanship of the mid-twelfth century. No readable legend is present on the reverse of this type. |
