| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays the moneyer's name divided across two horizontal lines within the field, a hallmark of the Two Line type introduced under Æthelstan. Three cross pattées are interspersed between the letters of the two-line inscription, providing both decorative and structural division. Trefoil ornaments appear above the upper line and below the lower line, adding further decorative detail typical of this issue. The legend and ornamental elements are rendered in the angular Anglo-Saxon majuscule style consistent with early tenth-century English hammered coinage. A beaded border frames the entire reverse design. |
