| Beschrijving keerzijde | A small plain pattée cross at the centre of the coin field, set within a beaded inner circle, with a pellet in each of the four angles formed by the arms of the cross. The surrounding legend names the moneyer and mint, inscribed in Latin characters between the inner and outer borders. The reverse design is characteristic of the Last Small Cross type issued during the final phase of Æthelred II's reign, distinguished by its compact, neatly proportioned cross motif and the absence of the more elaborate voided or long-cross designs of earlier issues. |
