| Obverse description | Facing bareheaded bust of Saint Martin rendered in crude Romanesque style, depicted frontally with stylized features. The figure holds a palm frond in the right hand and a book in the left, both attributes characteristic of saintly iconography. The effigy is set within a beaded inner border, with the surrounding field bearing the legend. The overall design is typical of episcopal coinage of the early thirteenth century, with a flat, linear treatment of the figure. |

| Reverse description | A bold short cross pattée occupies the center of the field, its splayed terminals nearly reaching the inner beaded border. Symbols are placed in each of the four angles formed by the cross arms, including a star and other devices. The surrounding legend is inscribed between the inner beaded circle and the outer beaded border. The die work is characteristic of hammered episcopal deniers of the Bishopric of Utrecht during the sede vacante period, with irregular flan edges and uneven strike. |
