| Reverse description | A bold long cross divides the reverse field into four quadrants, each containing decorative elements including small rosettes or stars and pellets, consistent with the standard reverse type of Hollandish deniers of the late 13th century. The arms of the cross extend to the inner beaded circle, with a knob or pellet at the top of the upright. The surrounding legend HOLLANTx, rendered in uncial Latin characters, identifies the place of issue. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border and exhibits the irregular flan and uneven striking typical of hammered medieval coinage. |
