| Beschrijving keerzijde | Six-armed radiate cross occupying the full field, its arms extending toward the periphery of the irregular flan and dividing the coin into six sections, each containing a single uncial letter. The letters P, E, T, R, V, and S are placed between the arms, spelling the name PETRVS — a reference to Saint Peter, patron of Roskilde Cathedral, under whose ecclesiastical authority this coin was struck. The bold, deeply incised arms and the coarse flan surface are consistent with the hammered billon coinage of Christopher I's reign. |
