| Reverse description | A short, equal-armed cross occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A single pellet is placed in each of the four angles formed by the cross arms, a motif characteristic of Utrecht episcopal pennies of the early twelfth century. The outer field carries a partial Latin legend referring to Utrecht, though the inscription is largely illegible or off-flan due to the irregular flan. The overall design is executed in the hammered style, with the beaded border clearly visible around the inner circle. |
