Obverse description Facing bust of Bishop Bernold rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner, set within a beaded inner circle. The effigy displays a frontal face with schematic features including pronounced brow arches and a pellet nose, surmounted by a crown ornamented with a central cross. The bishop's vestments are indicated by a series of pellets at the neck forming a collar. A Latin legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan.
