Obverse description Laureate and draped effigy of Queen Victoria facing left, her hair drawn back and tied with a ribbon, adorned with a wreath of leaves. The legend VICTORIA QUEEN OF GREAT BRITAIN curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters. A small floral ornament appears at the base of the bust in the lower field. The coin is bordered by a continuous ring of raised beads.
