背面描述 The reverse features a map of New Zealand as the central design element, with Captain Cook's sailing vessel Endeavour depicted at the lower right of the map. A two-line vertical legend appears at the left side of the design, reading NEW ZEALAND above ENDEAVOUR. The composition evokes New Zealand's colonial heritage and its discovery by Captain James Cook. The overall design is contained within a plain field with no additional border ornamentation noted.

附加信息

New Zealand did not adopt its own coinage until 1933, making any pre-independence pattern issue an administrative curiosity rather than a practical monetary proposal. This 1910 copper piece was struck as a trial — almost certainly in London, likely at the Royal Mint — to test designs or specifications for a crown-sized denomination that never entered production. Pattern strikes in copper at this weight class typically served as die trials or presentation pieces for approval stages that, in this case, went nowhere. No crown denomination was ever issued for New Zealand in the pre-1933 period.
