| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse bears the Arms of the Commonwealth of Australia as authorised by Royal Warrant of 19 September 1912, featuring a shield divided into six quarterly sections, each containing the heraldic badge of one of the Australian states; notably, South Australia's section depicts three sheaves of wheat above a rising sun rather than the officially authorised Piping Shrike. The shield is supported by a kangaroo to the right and an emu to the left, both standing upon a grassy mound adorned with small sprigs of wattle. Surmounting the shield is a royal crown in place of the customary Federation Star. The surrounding legend reads FLORIN K·G 1937 AUSTRALIA within the field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field has been entirely machined off, presenting a plain, lathe-turned surface exhibiting concentric circular tool marks radiating outward from the centre to the milled rim. This treatment was applied deliberately as part of the trial process, removing what was originally a portrait effigy of King Edward VIII. The denticulated border of the edge remains intact, consistent with standard florin production specifications of the period. |
