| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bust of Ardashir I facing right, depicted in the Parthian artistic tradition, wearing the characteristic kulah (a tall, ribbed or segmented cylindrical headdress) adorned with a globular top. The king is shown with a long, carefully styled beard and elaborately rendered hair falling in waves to the shoulder, dressed in a beaded or decorated robe visible at the shoulder and chest. The effigy occupies the central field, with the Pahlavi dynastic legend arranged around the periphery in a circular inscription. The portrait style reflects the transitional character of early Sasanian coinage, retaining strong Parthian iconographic conventions. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A stepped fire altar depicted frontally in the center of the field, with flames rising from the altar bowl rendered as multiple upward-projecting lines above the altar table. To the left of the altar stands a bust of Ardashir I in profile, facing right, wearing the kulah headdress, serving as an attendant figure. The altar is set upon a tiered, stepped base typical of early Sasanian fire-altar iconography. A Pahlavi inscription identifying the fire altar of Ardashir encircles the design in the outer field. The composition follows the canonical early Sasanian reverse type associating royal legitimacy with Zoroastrian sacred fire. |
