| Obverse description | Within a inner beaded circle, the Trivulzio family coat of arms displayed on a pointed shield, depicting three vertical pale stripes (pales) on a crosshatched field, rendered in late Gothic style. The shield is centrally placed in the field. The surrounding legend, separated from the inner device by the beaded border, reads: IO · IA · TRIVL · MAR · VIGLE · ET · F · M, an abbreviation for Ioannes Jacobus Trivulcius, Marquis of Vigevano and Lord of Mesocco. A small cross ornament appears at the top of the legend, and the coin's irregular flan is characteristic of hammered medieval billon coinage. |

| Reverse description | Saint George depicted in full armour, standing and facing right, holding a shield in his left hand and a lance or sword in his right, in the act of slaying a dragon prostrate at his feet. The figure is rendered in the bold, simplified style typical of late 15th-century north Italian hammered coinage. The surrounding legend reads S GEORGIVS, identifying the patron saint, separated by ornamental cross stops. The entire device is set within the irregular flan characteristic of struck billon issues of the Lordship of Mesocco. |
