| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Abdülhamid I, rendered in the characteristic Ottoman calligraphic style with upward-projecting sülüs strokes and sweeping horizontal loops. The tughra occupies the majority of the flan, with Arabic legends below. The strike is typical of late 18th-century Ottoman hammered coinage, resulting in a slightly irregular, off-center impression on the small billon flan. |
