| Obverse description | A walking elephant depicted in profile facing right, with tail raised, rendered in bold low relief on a plain field. The animal is shown with pronounced legs and a raised trunk, characteristic of the crude but vigorous artistic style of Mysore hammered coinage. Small pellets are visible beneath the elephant, a common decorative element on Haidar Ali copper issues. The flan is irregular and slightly dumpy, typical of hand-struck provincial coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central field bears a prominent crescent symbol flanked by groups of pellets or dots arranged symmetrically on either side, with additional pellet clusters below, all within a plain field. A horizontal line or sword motif appears beneath the crescent, consistent with known Patan mint issues of Haidar Ali. The Arabic mint name inscription identifying the Patan mint is incorporated into the design. The overall layout is characteristic of the crude hammered style employed at provincial Mysore mints during the reign of Haidar Ali. |
