| Reverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a standing Frisian warrior is depicted in profile facing right, bearing a sword raised over his shoulder; the figure bisects the inner circle vertically, with the provincial initials F and O (Frisia Ordines) placed in the field to either side of the figure. The warrior is rendered in a bold, stylised hammered-coin convention typical of late sixteenth- and early seventeenth-century Dutch provincial coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner circle, separated by a beaded border from the outer rim. |
