Reverse description The reverse displays four horizontal lines of Arabic calligraphic inscription arranged within a series of concentric ruled bands, reading the sultan's full titulature. The legend references Mahmud II as Sultan of the two continents and Khan of the two seas, consistent with standard Ottoman imperial honorifics of the period. The inscribed bands are framed by a prominent dotted outer border matching that of the obverse, giving the coin a formally balanced appearance.
