Beschrijving voorzijde Facing lion's head rendered in a bold, archaic style, occupying the full field of the flan. The mane is depicted with pronounced radiating locks framing the leonine visage, with deeply modelled features including a broad muzzle and open jaws. The design is surrounded by a border of small pellets, characteristic of Rhegine bronze coinage of this period. The relief is high and vigorous, consistent with the accomplished die-cutting tradition of Bruttian mints in the late fifth century BC.

Beschrijving keerzijde A hare running to the right in an animated, naturalistic pose, depicted within a circular field framed by a finely incised wave or scroll border suggesting speed and motion. The Greek retrograde legend ΡΗ appears in the field beside the hare, serving as an abbreviation for ΡΗΓΙΝΩΝ (of the Rhegians). The composition is compact and dynamic, filling the small flan with characteristic economy of design typical of Bruttian fractional bronze coinage.
