Reverse description Frontal protome of a bull, head facing forward with prominent horns curving upward, occupying the central field of the coin. A single pellet or globule appears below the bull's muzzle, serving as the denomination mark for the onkia. The Greek letters N and A flank the bull's head on either side, serving as an abbreviated ethnic for NAXION. The composition is bold and schematic, consistent with the workshop style of late fifth-century Naxos.
