| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in the late Classical Sicilian style with finely detailed wavy hair adorned with a laurel wreath. The youthful, slightly idealized facial features display characteristic high cheekbones and a refined profile. The hair flows in thick, curling locks around the nape of the neck, terminating in undulating strands. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, which bears a dotted border along the periphery. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Lipara — modern Lipari, chief of the Aeolian Islands — was a Carthaginian ally whose bronze coinage circulated in a tightly constrained geographic and economic sphere. The onkia was the smallest denomination in the Sicilian bronze weight standard, nominally one-twelfth of the litra, and Lipara's issues in this fractional series are scarce enough that the Copenhagen specimen long anchored scholarly understanding of the type before additional parallels surfaced.
