| Popis líce |
Left-facing portrait bust of Queen Victoria in high relief, wearing the Gothic Crown and a pearl drop earring, with a beaded necklace and floral ornaments at the shoulder. A circular device bearing a cross motif appears at the base of the design. The entire composition is framed by a decorative border of repeated fleur-de-lis and trefoil motifs, closely inspired by William Wyon's engraving for the 1847 Gothic Crown. |

A large Gothic cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing a heraldic device: three passant guardant lions (England) in the upper central quarter, an Irish harp to the left, a rampant lion (Scotland) to the right, and a single passant lion in the lower central quarter. The central intersection of the cross bears the fineness and weight legend in relief. Both obverse and reverse share the same decorative fleur-de-lis border. |
